Why are these ranges so wide?
Because “automate our invoicing” means a $6,000 job at one company and a $38,000 job at another with three legacy systems and no API. We won’t pretend otherwise with a fake price on a pricing page. After the assessment you get a firm number, and we hold it.
Do you charge hourly?
Rarely, and we don’t like to. Hourly billing pays us to be slow and makes you afraid to call us. Assessments are fixed fee, builds are priced per scope, and support is a flat monthly retainer.
Can we skip the assessment and just build the thing?
Sometimes. If you know exactly what you want, it’s well-understood, and it’s one workflow, we’ll scope and quote it directly. If your ask is “we need AI” or “fix our processes,” we’ll insist on the assessment. Building without it is how projects turn into invoices with nothing to show.
What’s the smallest engagement you take?
The assessment. Below that, we’re not a good use of your money: you’d be paying consulting rates for something a $50/month tool and an afternoon would fix, and we’ll tell you which tool.
What about government contracts?
Pricing depends on the vehicle and the compliance scope. Work that has to survive a security review carries real overhead in documentation, boundary design, and evidence, so we scope those individually. Start with the government and enterprise page.
Is there a payment schedule?
Assessments are billed half up front, half on delivery of the readout. Builds are milestone-based, so you never pay for the next phase before you’ve seen the last one working. Retainers bill monthly in advance.
